From the Taker of the Clouds to the Hawk's Nest

Two-day hike was the next adventure on the cards, finally getting up to over 2k, and staying in a hut overnight. The hut was very pleasant indeed, although I could have done without the Japanese hikers' desire to get up at 04:45... The first day was rather more challenging than planned, when the temporary loss of the path prompted a 45-minute-plus scramble up a very steep slope, gripping onto one tree after another. I promise never to complain about steps ever again.
