'Portable' Shrines

Three of us got persuaded to help a group of locals carry their portable shrine around the neighbourhood a few nights ago. I can see why they were so willing to let us join in - it was really, really, really heavy. Not helped at all by being about three inches taller than everyone else and so having to move along in a strange squatting fashion (there are some photos somewhere...) Also suffered from being inappropriately dressed (although I'm not sure than the happi-coat-and-speedos ensemble they were sporting would be that appropriate anywhere else). I still have a bruise that extends from my left shoulder pretty much all the way to my neck. But we got free sushi and beer, so it was all worth it!
